Tips for Dealing with Anxiety

Anxiety and stress drastically impact our way of life.  When we are anxious, we spend a tremendous amount of time and energy worrying about things instead of taking action.  With over twenty years of dealing with anxiety and major depression, I truly understand the horrible impact anxiety has on your life.    When I recognize that I am working my way toward a panic attack or starting to shutdown from reality (sleeping all of the time, no energy, etc.), I go online and look for self help ideas.  Often times, I am too far into my anxiety cycle for the techniques to work, but I believe they will be helpful if I utilize the tools as soon as I start to feel the symptoms.

It was interesting to hear from other compulsive gamblers that many of them face anxiety problems too.  Maybe it is the way we are wired.  Many of us are obsessive and compulsive about nearly everything in our lives.  It should not come as a surprise that we are obsessive about our anxiety and issues that make us anxious.

While conducting research on anxiety self help, I found the following links to be very helpful.
